The company has been founded in 1972 by Knud Hamann under the name of Hamann Wassertechnik GmbH. Concentrating on physio-chemical Waste Water Treatment plants for all kinds of ships, the company constantly grew in both, turn over and staff. Over the years the product range of Hamann Wassertechnik increased continuously. As a consequence, different branches were established for the handling of spare parts, for emission control and for Ballast Water Treatment. All of these branches were joint together under the umbrella of HAMANN AG in 2004, with the addition of freshwater production and in-house workshop facilities completing the picture.
Today, HAMANN AG not only manufactures all of the Hamann equipment in their own workshop facilities but can also produce pipe work, tanks and special constructions. HAMANN AG is certified according to ISO 9001, which guarantees the up most possible quality and reliability in the products and the workmanship. With 70 people working at the head office in Hollenstedt and with an constantly growing number of agents and service stations around the globe (currently, 31 agents are under contract), HAMANN AG offers custom made products as well as comprehensive after sales service.
