1926     Foundation of Kaufffahrtei AG by the stepfather of Knud Hamann, present chairman of the supervisory board

1972     2nd generation of the family establishes Hamann Wassertechnik GmbH

1976     Successful Type Testing for HL-Cont according to IMO MEPC.2 (VI) on board of TS "Maxim Gorkij"

1985     Italian Navy accepts HAMANN frame solution for 5 frigates (HAMANN delivers 273 systems)

1990     First orders placed by Royal Carribean Cruises for their complete fleet (HAMANN delivers 149 systems) 

1994     HAMANN produces first 3 soot filters for de Vries

1998     Type Test for Super Mini

2000     Freshwater Plants sold to Lürssen Yards 

2004     Knud Hamann establishes HAMANN AG

2006     Ballast Water Treatment Plant SEDNA installed on OOCL Finland

2008     HAMANN receives Type Approval for Ballast Water System SEDNA

             Type Test for Sewage Treatment Plant Super Mini PLUS

2009     Type Test for Sewage Treatment Plant HL-Cont PLUS 10
